It has been 3 weeks since Johnny has been born and it seems like it has been way longer than that. Let me say that it has been an emotional roller coaster as well as overwhelming however we are enjoying every minute of it. We are figuring things out and as long as Johnny is happy and healthy than we are alright. We had a very big milestone today at the doctor and turns out Johnny has gained 1lb. and 4 oz. in one week. That is over 2 ounces a day which the doc just wants them to gain 1 ounce. So he is doing very well. I couldn't be happier and am celebrating for sure. I no longer have to pump and supplement with a bottle to make sure he gets enough since apparently he is getting plenty. The doctor also said we can let him sleep longer during the night which will be great.
Johnny is a super easy baby and sleeps and eats a lot and when he crys he is very easy to console. Let's cross out fingers that this keeps up. My favorite thing about J is of course his adorable hair but the little sounds that he makes. When he is mad or trying to pass gas he makes these little grunting sounds and sometimes it turns into a giggle. I could just sit and listen to him all day. He is so cute Jess. Glad all is going well. I am sure other moms have told you this, but it gets to be like second nature and soon you will be a crazy, busy mom like the rest of us. Kids take over your life and it is totally worth it!!
