Nesting, Nesting, Nesting

I have to say the 2nd trimester is the best becuase you have soooo much energy! I am like a machine in my house every weekend and get into this crazy nesting mode and want to organize and clean out everything to make room for baby. I have gutted the front room and moved everything that I want to keep into the guest room. Not only is the guest room filled with new stuff but it is completely organized as well. I have even convinced Brian to get built in closets for the baby's room and our room becuase I want everything perfectly organized in it's place. You know you are getting bad when you open the towel closet and your brain starts spinning with how you want to organize it.

My new favorite name

Well for the last 24 hours the name that I want to go with is John "Johnny" Vincent Vivaldi for our son. That has always been the name I thought I would name my first born son but somehow I lost interest along the way. But now it is back in full affect and loving it. We could call him Johnny V, JV, John John, or J. It is a strong name and has a little bit of the italian twist in it that Brian has been wanting. Lately Brian has been throwing out names like Pauly and Tommy or anything that sounds like would be apart of Tony Sopranos crew so Johnny is in there.

The other reason why I have always loved it is it is my two grandfather's names. John Crow was my mother's father and Vincent is my father's father. My brother's name is Adam John Vincent Ruble so in a way I would be honoring 3 family members with the name. I also have had a major crush on John F. Kennedy Jr. my whole life and have always wanted to call my son John John. Man was he the sexiest man alive!

So for now Christian is on the back burner and John is on the front simmering with Brian. Hopefully it catches on!

24 Weeks

Well I have officially been pregnant now for 6 months. Seems long but short at the same time. At this point I feel like my stomach gets bigger and bigger every week. I thought it would be like every month but guess not. Today I am heading into Seattle to get some more maternity clothes because my normal clothes are just too small now. I took more pics as friends tell me I HAVE to each month but not a big fan of the bare belly shots (I guess I have some modesty in me) so I took the ones below. I also wanted to show the colors of the baby room and Sonny felt the need to be in every shot so just ignore him and check out the background.

I am in major nesting mode and getting the house in order. Thanks to Susy I picked out some paint colors for different rooms in the house that we are very excited to finally get painted after 5 years. Then we are having cabinets, a mantle, closets, more crown molding done in the middle of converting a bedroom to the nursery. It is very exciting because we have wanted this since we moved in 5 years ago and now we are finally getting it done. Guess now we have to stay for awhile longer.

Getting excited more for the baby shower which is June 12th as well and I have started to register. Super overwhelming but I guess I will take one weekend at a time to shop in the stores for the bigger ticket items like stroller, pack and play, bassinet, etc. Too many choices.

23 Weeks

Can't believe I am almost 6 months prego. It has been pretty good so far and I am not at the point where I would say I am done which is probably good since I have a lot longer to go. Some changes are that I can now eat steak which I was completely averted to and I can now feel the little man kicking. It is still pretty light kicks and twitches but it is definetely him. The other night I was laying on my back and I felt some little jabs and I told Brian and he jumped over and threw his hand on my stomach and said he could feel something. It is too early for you to be able to feel anything external so who knows what he felt but he was excited.

I am really excited as well that I could the crib, chest, bedding and chair this last week at Go To Your Room in Bellevue. It is such a relief that that task is completed and now I can just register for the fun stuff. The furniture is the Lexington Collection by Munire Furniture and the color is Espresso. The bedding is Boy Confetti by Banana Fish and the colors are green and blue. Can't wait for my new recliner/rocker. I can totally sleep in that chair with the baby. Can't wait to post pictures when I get everything in a couple of months!
